Hi, I have an interactive thyroid and I have been taken thyroxine for year and half. I have now been told that my iron levels are low but not anemic but need to start taking tablets. Does anyone know if floradix is ok to use as I know that you shouldn't take iron tablets with thyroxine as the table absorbs it. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Thank you so much. So as long as I take floradix at a different time I should start seeing the benefits.
How low are your iron levels? Do you mean ferritin? There is not a lot of iron in floradix and it takes a long time to bring up ferritin. I have been on iron tablets for almost a year. I took 100mg a day for 5/6 months and my levels went up to about 50 (from being about 8) so I reduced to half for 4 months as I wanted them to increase but not by too much (was aiming for mid range (about 70)), but tested again 3 weeks ago and they had gone back down to 30 odd 😳 Back on the 100mg a day again!
Need to take ferrous fumerate with 1000 mg vit c to aid absorption/reduce constipation. If you don't get on with fumerate, you can try solgar gentle iron (I take these) instead. Some members eat liver once a week instead and apparently this also does the job!
