T3 result

Hi guys been unwell for some time. Please some thoughts on these;

Plasma TSH level 0.06 mu/l (0.30- 4.20 )

Plasma free T4 level <5.2 (9.0 -19.0 )

Plasma free T3 level 6.8 (2.6- 5.7 )

This was done at 4pm I have taken 20mcg T3 at 7am

It's always hard to judge t3 by blood tests. Generally it is thought best to wait 12hrs between taking t3 and blood draw. In what way do you feel unwell.

I have had pinched nerve in my cervical spine not sorted as result of taking Voltarol have put on 4.5kg limited activity.

9 hours inbetween last dose and blood draw is long enough. You are over medicated because FT3 is over range. I would skip 2-3 doses of T3 then reduce to 15mcg.

Thanks Clutter as always spot on. what do i do with the weight gain. i can assure you it's not the food!

Afaghieh,

T3 isn't a weight loss aid. Overmedicating can cause weight loss but long term will increase your risks of developing atrial fibrillation and osteoporosis.

Hi Clutter

Thanks I was told to take 30mcg daily however, When blood test was done it was for ESR I was not aware they were doing T3 otherwise I would have not taken T3 so soon.
