I've been to see endo today at qe hospital, bham. He's just doing t4 test and not t3 even though t3 is low and t4 is high end but the is OK. He's also testing for thyroid antibodies. What is that?

When TSH is high FT4 and FT3 are usually low. Many NHS labs won't test FT3 unless TSH is suppressed <0.1 or lower.
High thyroid peroxidase antibodies means autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto's) which has caused hypothyroidism.
