Had scan on my thyroid, radiologist said it seems normal , I was very surprised as my antibodies not budge since I have been diagnosed last year July

All the time more then limit more then 1000 for tpo and tbg more than 600 , is it possible to have normal scan now as before wasn't?

I cannot answer your question but antibodies can be reduced by going gluten-free.

Annasien,

It is possible to have high antibodies and normal looking thyroid gland. It simply means that Hashimoto's has not yet damaged the thyroid gland.

Thank you , I haven't explained properly, apologies! , my previous scan shown sponge like/ damaged was inflamed and porous , this one although not fully confirmed appears ok so that's I am a bit surprised and not sure 🤔

Thank you for your answer

Annasien,

I'd make sure that both scans are yours. Thyroid damage usually becomes worse not better.
