Hi everyone, I've been told in the past that not all supplements are created equal. Are there any brands that you would recommend?
Thank you!

The more expensive ones tend to have less fillers. You can also find Organic - Gluten Free and so on. Depends on your priorities ....

You get what you pay for, cheap supplements are cheap for a reason.
Look for words like:
Wholefood - Food State - Bioavailable
Look for as few fillers as possible
Avoid Holland and Barrett/Boots/supermarket own brands - they tend to use cheap ingredients to keep prices cheap, frequently the wrong sort of the vitamin or mineral, and plenty of fillers. Fillers are sometimes unavoidable but the fewest amount is best.
Some brands I use:
Cytoplan (Nature's Own are the same people)
NutriAdvanced
Biocare
Lamberts (Nature's Best are the same people)
Metabolics
Healthy Origins
Jarrows (some)
Solgar (some)
Doctor's Best (some)
Some I've heard are good but not tried:
Viridian
Healthleads (additive free, no magnesium stearate)
Thank you so much!
Is there anything in particular you want? I can recommend an excellent t D3, very reasonably priced, a selenium that doesn't have an unpleasant odour like most of them do. Happy to help if I can.
Oh brill thank you! Yes selenium is one I'm after, also B12 and vitamin D and Iodine
Selenium - cytoplan.co.uk/selenium?sqr... - nice small tablet, doesn't have an unpleasant odour. Look out for 3 for 2 offers. Currently on 3 for 2 and I think tomorrow (28 Feb) is the last day. When you've registered and placed your first order they will probably send you a money off voucher code for future use.

B12 - Solgar sublingual methylcobalamin. Looking at your previous post, with a level of 345 you might want to buy the 5000mcg dose to start with and when you've finished the bottle (60 lozenges) go onto the 1000mcg dose as maintenance.

B Complex is needed when taking B12 to balance all the B vits. This is a decent one bodykind.com/product/8310-b... Leave it off for a few days when having thyroid tests as it contains Biotin (B7) which can affect results.

D3 - bodykind.com/product/2463-b... - best value by far and only two ingredients, D3 and olive oil to aid absorption. Recommended level is 100-150nmol/L and I see yours is 27.02. I would suggest you take 10,000iu daily as a loading dose for 2 weeks then reduce to 5000iu daily. Re-test after 3 months and when you've reached the recommended level reduce to 5000iu alternate days as a maintenance dose. Re-testing once or twice a year is recommended to ensure you stay within the recommended range. You can get Vit D fingerprick blood spot tests from City Assays vitamindtest.org.uk/index.html
There are important co-factors needed when taking D3.

K2-MK7 - amazon.co.uk/Jarrow-MK-7-90... - very few ingredients, has olive oil to aid absorption.
D3 and K2 are fat soluble so should be taken with the fattiest meal of the day.
Magnesium comes in different forms, check here to see which suits you best and as it's calming it's best taken in the evening before bed

Iodine - have you been tested and found to be deficient? Iodine should only be taken of deficient and then under the supervision of an experienced practioner as it needs to be balanced with selenium. It's not a good idea when you have Hashimoto's.
