Hi just wondering if anybody could advise me on what tests I should ask for as I'm going to see a private gp on Monday as I'm in a seriously bad way! energy levels are on the floor barley able to stand and prepare myself food legs are so weak and I feel so I'll, i feel kinda spaced out with it at times my own gp is rubbish refusing to do anymore thyroid test as tsh level was normal but I'm wondering if there's more tests I could be having done? My b12 was low but she said not low enough to treat. The stairs look mor like a mountain.

Maybe you could have had a range of private blood tests first from one of the recommended labs and you'd be in a better position as he could look at your results immediately.

Then you could have two consultations in one, i.e. show him your blood test results (1) and then he should be able to give his opinion (2).

You'd need TSH, T4, T3, Free T4, Free T3 and thyroid antibodies.

The blood test should be the very earliest possible as I think you know, as the TSH is highest very early a.m. and drops throughout the day.
