Blood tests don't really give us the whole picture and it's how we 'feel' which is a good pointer.

I shall give you a link which contains three chapters by Dr Lowe which will be helpful.

p.s. Are you aware that you taking approx 250mcg of thyroid hormones daily.

You may need T3 only if the combo isn't working so well.

Hi Mags, sorry you are not feeling well. It sounds as though you are not on enough thyroid hormones, but without the thyroid function blood test results it is difficult to be sure. It takes at least 6 weeks for an increase to be felt so maybe it has not 'kicked in' yet. You should be given a blood test six weeks after a dose increase. Has that happened?

Hi - if you were previously well on this dose, have you considered that your nutrient levels may have declined and hence you are not using your T3 &t4 effectively? I am sure you know vit d, b12, folate and ferritin need to be optimal, not just inrange. Have you had these tested recently? Could that be the missing piece maybe?

Do you have the results of the B12 - Ferritin - folate - VitD from when they were last tested. You are entitled to have copies of your results with ranges - they are legally yours. Also your last test results for the Thyroid would be helpful when people are making suggestions.

Are you taking any other medication in addition to the Levo/T4 and T3 - perhaps something is preventing a good uptake of vitamins and minerals - along with thyroid meds.

Your VitD could be low if you are suffering repeated colds ....
