Nephrocalcinosis and Hypothyroidism

Does anyone have Nephrocalcinosis with Hypothyroidism. I'm trying to wrap my head around as to how they fit together as with the research I've found so far says that Nephrocalcinosis is more associated with Hyperparathyroidism.

Does anyone else have this. And can anyone give me more info about this.

Have you been tested for hyperparathyroidism ?

I have kidney problems due to that, stones, scarring and hydronephrosis, scan this week for further diagnosis.

No I haven't, and I have asked and they won't do the tests. I'm gonna go and see a different doctor.

You just need a calcium and parathyroid blood test so nothing complicated to start with. There are other causes of nephrocalcinosis so your docs should be doing tests.

Thanks. Maybe this new doctor will do these tests for me.
