Hot feet
That's a little strange I think. Usually hypos have cold feet! How much thyroid hormone are you taking and do you have any recent test results?
Yes, I get episodes of intense burning heat in various parts of my body - this was the reason why I went to the doctors and subsequently being diagnosed with Hashimotos. I had an episode last week where it happened in my head - lasted for about 20 minutes and was very unpleasant
Good morning hotwinks. I am hypo and also periodically suffer from hot feet at night. I am unable to answer your query about a link but I cope with it by taking a hot water bottle to bed with me, filled with cold water, and keep my feet on it. It doesn't give me any answers as to why but at least it makes it a bit easier to get to sleep x
Very odd, mine are frozen most of the day and night.
i get burning feet and its really painful, it comes and goes. Originally i was told it was lack of B6 but that hasnt helped recently so i still dont know what causes it. I also get really cold feet and hands xx
I've been using a fan at night directed at my feet for the last 6 months - yes throughout the winter because my feet are too hot.
Sometimes I start off feeling too cold so I take a hot water bottle with socks but then I get too hot. I can't keep to a comfortable temperature. No idea why this is. I do have an under active thyroid and tested positive for hashimitos antibodies some months ago.

It does have a correlation with hypothyroidism. I'd try checking your B-vits to see if you're getting enough of each one - especially pantothenic acid (B5) and methylcobalamin (B12).
I get hot feet when I take too much Levo or NDT. Levo was far worse. Just try easing off by 15-20% for a week and see if it helps. Long term you may just have to put up with it as your body and organs need lots of Thyroid.
I am hypo too and have had hot or burning feet at night for years. In fact, it wakes me up and keeps me awake every night. At first I thought it was menopause and tried a cold pillow, upping the B vitamins, any and all things I could think of. Anti-inflamitories seem to ease the pains as well, (as its often accmpanies with joint pain) but tweeking T3 doses and taking NDT when it happens seems to work somewhat. At the moment, I just tried an earthing mat last night for the first time. So I guess the best thing is to keep experimenting to find what works for you. Oh, drinking alcohol at night seems to make it worse as well.
hotwinks Burning feet syndrome is one of the physical signs/symptoms of hypothyroidism - listed under Pain here:
