You will get as many opinions as there are makes - plus a few. :-)

Many people avoid Armour because it is considerably more expensive.

Many people choose one of the Thai makes. Their lower cost is important, but one or other seems to be the preferred product for some people.

Just as the best brand of levothyroxine is the one that works for the individual, so the best NDT to take is the one that works for the individul. There really is no other way to find this out than trial and error. I am in the process of switching from one brand to another, because the brand I had been taking became problematic (for me) for some unknown reason.

Pick one, based on whatever criteria seems relevant to you at the moment. Whether that be price, easy availibilty, choice of excipients or whatever. Give it a chance to start working it's magic (or not). Take it step by step. You might strike lucky first time around. :)

Armour is the most expensive of the NDT family.

There isn't one that is the "best,"just one that is the "best" for you.

I was on Armour for years, then I switched to Nature-Thyroid, when it became very expensive. Many people have to try a few different brands before they find the best one for them.

I have been using the Thai product 'Thiroyd' with great results for about 18 months now. Taking 3 tabs on waking and another 2 at 2 pm giving great energy and now 13 months without a days illnes!!! Unfortunately when I went to reorder yesterday via Amazon as I did for the two tubs previously bought, they are not available. I have contacted the seller via email and had a look at their Fb page but have opted to try Natural Sources Raw Thyroid from Lucky Vitamins. 180x390mg for £20.76. The reviews were good on the whole.

Hope this helps but try options outlined in Stop the Thyroid Madness book - very liberating for a Brit.

Yes - there are some members on here who have been taking Thai NDT for years. But like anything on the web, finding a reliable source is probably the most important first step.

I don't think the Raw thyroid you've mentioned is a prescription quality medicine EasyGinger, so I'll be very surprised if you find it works for you instead of the Thai Thiroyd. Be careful because you might become quickly hypo and very unwell if you stop taking prescrition quality NDT.

I take Westhroid as it has the fewest fillers...

Westroid no longer exists (it's the same as Nature-Throid now). The one with the least fillers was renamed to WP Thyroid quite a long time ago :)

I had heard that but Walgreens Pharmacy still types Westhroid on my bottle. Inwonder why..,

I've only tried one and I am doing good on it and that's thiroyd.
