If you haven't had a blood test for your thyroid gland to check on the hormones, make an appointment and ask doctor to do so.
The appointment should be the very earliest possible, fasting (you can drink water) and if you get diagnosed and take thyroid hormones, you have to allow 24 hours between last dose and test.

Ask for TSH, T4, T3, Free T4, Free T3 and thyroid antibodies.
Get a print-out with the ranges and put on a new post for comments.
Depression is a SYMPTOM of hypothyroid not a seperate thing.
