Hi. Can anyone tell me what the turnaround time is for Blue Horizon Thyroid +10 test is? I did mine today and it was in the post by 8.15. I rather cleverly requested an NHS one at my GP's as last one was about a year ago. When I went into nurse, I whipped out my BH phial and request and asked her to draw extra into that. She was happy to do so. It's my intention to get appointment with GP rather than have receptionist telling me "It's all normal" or whatever. I also requested print out of past tests, which they have said I can have on Thursday. Nurse told me NHS test should be 3 days.

Mine have always been back within 48 hours, sometimes 24 hours. I've always sent mine Guaranteed Next Day by 1pm though, I've never relied on just first class post.

Dahlia17,

Very enterprising of you :-D

NHS test is available next morning at my practice but I expect they need to allow 48 hours for a GP to review them before releasing results to patients.

I think BH try for same day/next day turnaround.

Thanks. I will post both results when I get them, should be enlightening, I have never seen one of mine in 15+ years

You are entitled to copies of your own results. (Including all old test results)

Some surgeries make nominal charge for printing out.

Alternatively you can now ask for online access to your own medical records. Though not all surgeries can do this yet, or may not have blood test results available yet online.

I've done two in the last 4 weeks. First one was back by 5pm the next day, second back by 1pm next day.

Both sent guaranteed del by 1pm though (I'm inpatient and was worried about my blood clotting quickly) I'll probably trust their free delivery next time as I've had the results I needed now i'm not as desperate :) the man from the post office thought I was crazy for paying as it had already been paid for and probably would have got there the same time anyway but just wasn't guaranteed.

Really good service. Hope that helps x
