Latest results on 50mcg levo are:
Tsh 2.8 (0.35-5.5)
Ft4 13.6 (10-19.8)
The question is should I increase dose to to 75mcg every day or every other day or stay where I'm at (50mcg)?
I still don't feel well and can't reach my doctor until next week.

Increase it to 75 mcg every day. You are very under-medicated. The object of thyroid hormone replacement is to bring the TSH down to under one.
I agree with greygoose your dose is too low and go to the date June 8, 2001 on this link:
I agree with greygoose. Your TSH is almost at the top of the AACE range and your FT4 is only 36% up in range. I think you will need to be on at least 75mcg. However, if you goto 75mcg immediately and start feeling unwell because your body cannot take that big an increase all at once, then go off for 1-2 days (to let the excess decay), then restart with alternating 50/75.
Thanks for your post sorry for jumping in. My tsh is 2.9 and doctor refused to put mine (100 levothyroxin) up even though I feel rotten . The tablet is so small I am wondering to quarter one to add with the hundred (125). Have been to scared as she told me if I overdosed it could be life threatening, why they have to say that I don't know because you guys know so much more on here. Thank god for this site. Well done admin. But from all your replies I am going to do so. If when I have the next blood test it is around one I will tell her what I have done. If I do feel funny taking it I will leave the 25 off so well worth a try.
Happy Christmas all and sorry Lisan for jumping in xx
Your doctor is talking absolute nonsense. Scaring patients rigid is one way they keep the patients under the thumb.
The average TSH in healthy people is about 1.25.
If it is good enough for healthy people then it is good enough for us!
The average doctor has learned nothing about thyroid since they left med school, which is why so many of them spout this nonsense about "life threatening"! In fact, it is not possible to correctly treat thyroid using only TSH, which is stated in the two papers from holtorfmed.com I posted yesterday on my feed.
No, worries at all. It's just nice to hear other people's stories in similar situations.
What was your ft4 and ft3 of you have it ?
Will you take one 25mcg or a quarter of one?
I did ask for T4 ,doctor didn't say no but when the blood test came back it was only t3 done. I only have 100 mg LiSan so will have to cut in four. Last one hubby cut was not very successful lol. He's trying again.xx
Thank you so much , I am so happy to hear this . The doctor was adamant that was nothing when I asked if there was something else other than levo I could take. Hubby is at present trying to quarter this tiny 100mg tablet. Thanks all you wonderful people. X
