I just realized that this morning I took double dose of Levothyroxine by mistake. I take 75mcg and 50mcg every other day so I take 50 and add 25 and today I took 2x 50. I've been very tired and sleepy today and quite anxious. Should I be worried and should I take my normal 50 tomorrow morning? I got rid of the packaging so can't check.

T4 (Levo) is a storage hormone and it's not essential to take the exact same amount every day. Some patients take their Levo in one weekly dose under supervision. So the extra you have taken today, just knock it off tomorrow's dose.
Levo is a storage hormone, so waits to be converted when needed, so theoretically you should just be able to take less tomorrow to balance out the total.Don't worry, get a good night's sleep.
Don't worry as some may take one week's dose altogether.
Excerpt from link below:
"The drug levothyroxine (Synthroid, Levoxyl, others) has long been the treatment for sluggish thyroids or hypothyroidism. The pill needs time to be absorbed properly, so patients are often instructed to take it daily a half hour to an hour before breakfast. But that can make the regimen inconvenient for some, and compliance declines.
Now, a new study suggests that weekly doses appear to work as well. Indian researchers presented the findings at the 2016 annual meeting of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists in Orlando. "Once weekly L-thyroxine replacement was well tolerated and there was no indication of acute toxicity or hypothyroidism symptoms compared with daily therapy," according to researchers Satish Wasoori, MD, and Manoj Naik, MD, of Park Hospital in Guragaon, India. The new study echoes some findings from previous research.
The Patient Information Leaflets for all UK medicines (and an awful lot of non-UK medicines) are available online.
My document has links for at least the UK products:
helvella - Thyroid Hormone Medicines
I have created, and try to maintain, a document containing details of all thyroid hormone medicines in the UK and, in less detail, many others around the world.
I practically freaked out when I did this but I was fine, it takes quite a long time to become active. Interesting that weekly dosing works well! I was shocked when I heard people did this, often because they kept forgetting to take their daily dose or they are going away and didnβt want the hassle of daily dosing. Karen Carpenter was supposed to be taking 10x the normal dose of Levothyroxine for someone with hypothyroidism and she didnβt even have it! She lasted a few years on this mega dose but they think it may have contributed to her demise I think she died of a heart attack. I donβt think an extra dose should cause you much consternation if she managed to get away with that for so long.
