I wonder if anyone, who has Hashi's, has used this "celebrated" pills. As one doctor states, these pills go directly to the stomach lining, thus, the thyroid antibodies are "fooled" and stop attacking the thyroid, they attack those ????? in the stomach, allowing the thyroid to heal! Am I fooled, to? Very curious!

I think you should ask that doctor what he's been smoking! It says it's bovin thyroid with the hormone removed, and magnesium. How is that going to attract the antibodies? I think he's just making it up as he goes along.

I think it's stupid, too!

If you have Hashimoto's you should give them a try. They really do deliver.

It sends antibodies to the stomach and they fool the immune system into attacking those antibodies and then stop attacking the thyroid antibodies so the thyroid can heal. You should try them if you have Hashimotos. You will be pleasantly surprised.

I am willing to believe that you have felt better taking them.

But I cannot understand what you are saying happens. Nor why.

If you are able to explain further, perhaps we would learn something?

No, I haven't. I read a bunch of c**p about this thyrotrophin pmg that I got so angry and threw them away.... you can watch the doctor here: I think he's a kiropractor

Why do you think its C**p when you may not have actually given it the time to work, sometimes we need to be patient and not dismiss it just because it doesn't work immediately

Imagine I've paid $100 (50 + 50 shipping)!!!

Is that what your doctor told you? If not, where did you get that information?

I have repeatedly asked him but there was no answer. You can watch him: youtube.com/watch?time_cont...

It seems to be bovine thyroid with most of the thyroxine removed. As I understand it this would stimulate antibody production and make an autoimmune condition worse. It's sold as a thyroid support supplement. I think this sort of 'support' is nonsense. I wonder what they offer for virility support ??? These animals grow healthy thyroids eating grass, you don't need to eat an organ to grow a healthy one.

Well, why then, a famous doctor, recommends this? business?!

Can you give a link to the comments from this doctor?

I'm not expert in this field but as I understand it antibodies are fairly specific (not totally, hence autoimmune conditions). It seems logical to me that if you ingest additional thyroid tissue your body could produce additional antibodies, in addition to the ones attacking the thyroid. So you end up with more antibodies. I believe this is what happens to some patients on NDT.

I assume that when they say 'stomach' they mean the gut as the pills would travel into the gut and be absorbed like other meat. The stomach is very hostile, foods pass through the stomach.

My comments are based on reasoning and not expert knowledge, so it is just possible this doctor is correct but I'd want to see some evidence.

Thanks, the video seems fine for about four minutes, perhaps exaggerating a little but we know stress can make us vulnerable to infections.

Then he mentions the bit about swallowing bovine thyroid tissue to divert the antibodies, without offering any evidence. Antibodies are quite specific so they may not see this bovine tissue as the substance they are fighting . The body could even develop a new set of antibodies to this bovine tissue. The most likely action is the gut says to itself “I’ve got some yummy protein” and decides to digest it. The gut deals with many foreign organisms and substances every day.

Not impressed by that video. First of all, he talks about the thyroid attacking itself? It doesn't attack itself, the immune system attacks the thyroid. BUT - and this is a huge but - he talks about distracting the antibodies so that they stop attacking the thyroid and leave it to heal. Well, its not actually the antibodies doing the attacking.

And, the thyroid healing? Not quite sure what he means by that. Does he mean the thyroid regenerates? Because it doesn't. When you have your thyroid removed surgically, any tissue remaining might regrow a little, but it would never become a working thyroid again. So, whats the point.

He also said something I found incomprehensible about the Thytropin not leaving the stomach but 'just hanging around there'. Around where? Inside the stomach? Why would it not get passed on into the gut?

No, it was a very bad video, badly explained, full of errors and totally unconvincing. Not surprised he doesn't want to answer questions!
