If MPharma *only* hiked the price of liothyronine, then I fear they may slip under the radar. Liothyronine has only ever been prescribed to a relatively small number of patients, so they won't be seen to be ripping the NHS off for ' tens of millions of pounds'.
But maybe Concordia / MPharma have done it to other more commonly prescribed meds too?
Apparently, according to BBC news report "there are four more different cases in the pipeline".
This really is organised crime, isn't it? Peter Gotzsche is right.
Why else would the BMA have given his book a prize in 2014?
I see they are trying to wriggle out of it though. Really hope they can't.
