new formula

hi all just picked up my prescription of levothyroxine and it says it's an improved formula ,can anyone tell me how it's improved because i'm worried some different brands might not be very good ,i'm not sure ,i have a big pill phobia thank you

Is it made by Teva? If so their earlier levo was taken off the shelves because it failed a dissolution test.... ( it wouldnt dissolve). .... If they have improved the formula, presumably it dissolves now......

yes it is made by teva ,thank you very much for your reply ,being a pill phobic i was worried they had changed it to a different formula x

Hopefully they have! The old formula was rubbish!

It is best that you always stick to the same brand and as TEVA has made a comeback then I'm presuming it's new to you. I'm also assuming that to get it back in the market place it is an attractive price so people will buy it and that includes the pharmacists. So try it and see but don't be afraid to ask for another named brand on your next prescription.
