Ferritin. Iron.

Not feeling so well. Ferritin is 47 and Iron is 54. Iron/TIBC and Total TIBC are very low normal.

Could these numbers account for

1. Fluctuating body temp--always below 98?

2. Severe Insomnia?

3. Other symptoms of CFS?

4. Were do cortisol levels come into the picture relative to low iron?

Help would be appreciated.

Symptoms are indicative of hormone imbalance and deficiencies. Easiest and safest way to correct this is to supplement with natural minerals and vitamins in the correct form and ratio. They work together. Like eating the best possible balanced diet. The body then takes everything it needs and starts to repair and regenerate. Don't think we're allowed to advise which brands work best and why. You will have to contact privately?

I have been made aware by another member of your recent comments suggesting people PM you for details of vitamin supplements.

You are correct that blatant advertising is not permitted on the forum. However asking people to PM you can also appear as though you have a personal interest in promoting and selling something.

In another comment to someone else you wrote:

There are some supplements not sold in stores that are FDA regulated. It makes the difference between them "working" or not. PM me for more info.

The above most certainly suggests you might have something to sell. Advertising and/or trying to sell products via PM is also not acceptable.

The particularly worrying part is that the supplements you refer to 'are not sold in stores'. In which case, how does one purchase them?

Can you please clarify the situation for me? You can reply to me here or via PM if you feel it to be more appropriate.

Thank you

MormorK,

Please give more information. Do you have a thyroid problem? Have you had thyroid hormone levels tested? Are you on any medication?

Hpothyroid. Take 65 mg NDT. T4 is .80. T3 is 2.75. I had dropped from 90mg to 65mg NDT because of hot flashes but that must have been low iron?

Best product for raising iron levels?

I am awake from 2-6:00 am which I read could be high cortisol but does it make sense to do cortisol testing when iron and thyroid levels are low?

I am so tired and feeling unwell.
