So as a newly diagnosed Hashimoto sufferer I thought id suffered enough over the last few years but this weekend I have experienced very sore lips and gums. I have developed what I think is a canker sore on my upper lip which is burning with pain. I got my period on Saturday and I've been so poorly over the weekend and today I honestly felt like going to A and E and could cry with pain my body is in. My GP started me on levo 25 last week. Should I report these symptoms to my doctor..

ChrissyS1,

Cold sores and mouth ulcers can be a sign of low immune system. Your pharmacist will be able to recommend remedies to relieve them and taking 1,000mcg vitamin C daily should help strengthen your immune system.
