ryanL If you post your blood test results, with their reference ranges (usually in brackets- something like [12-22] for FT4) then members can comment. You can edit your post by clicking on the down arrow, choose Edit, make changes and press the green button 'Edit Response'.

Are you in the UK Ryan? If so ask your surgery for a print out, it is your legal right under the Data Protection Act 1998 and they can't refuse but they may make a small charge for printing.

The trouble is doctors think that as long as a result is somewhere within the range then that is OK. In reality it's where in the range you fall that is important, you are going to feel very different if you are one point up from the bottom than if you were one point down from the top, yet as both are considered normal doctors won't do anything.

If your surgery isn't helpful and won't print your results or give them to you verbally to write down, come back as there's further help available.

I lost the outer third of my eyebrows yet my thyroid blood tests were always "normal". Fortunately I found a private endo (I'm in the states) who listened to my symptoms and took one look at me and said "you are clearly hypo" and started me on levothyroxine. He saved my life.

Get copies of your blood tests and keep track of ALL your symptoms. I suffered from fatigue, poor body temp regulation, muscle soreness, failing endurance, thinning eyelashes, joint pain (mornings felt like I was 80 years old), etc.

Good luck.
