Sorry to hear your wife is unwell. Does she have a thyroid problem? And has the gp done any other tests? Thyroid tests, vit d, b12, folate?
That isn't a bad result so it doesn't seem likely that is why she is so tired, though I don't imagine Spatone will hurt.
Hi she has a underactive thyroid for over the last 18 years but seams like everytime she has a blood test ,The GP lowers the dose or says your within the range. So have booked to see a Private Endo in harrogate but that appointment is 3 weeks away
she has headache and fuzzy head ( lightheaded )
Here is the full blood test

I got Dr Peter Hammond's name off the Endo list :
This is what What we’ve heard
Increased patient’s T4
• Prefers to prescribe T3 only with T4
• Has some patients on NDT, but doesn’t believe it is as controllable as T3/T4 combo
• Much more interested in symptoms than blood test result

GP say's the blood test is in range
Yes, but 'in range' doesn't always restore health. The range is there to give us a spectrum of acceptable results and to help point out abnormal results but after diagnosis and on treatment the tsh has to be kept much lower than this for most people to feel well.
There are a number of articles you can copy and bring to your gp to find out if they'll respond. It sounds like maybe they didn't like the tsh being (just) below 1 when in fact this is ideal for a lot of people. I recommend the Pulse article from Dr Toft which says that some people need the tsh to be below 1 to feel well. You can get a copy emailed from TUK.
You're correct, they don't always do the full range of tests. Ideally you want t3, t4 and tsh rather than tsh alone or w t4. Sometimes antibodies are also helpful although they tend to only want to do them once.
It's up to you but you may want to see how your gp reacts to a request (perhaps you've done this already) if you go in backed up w documents. It could save you the trip to the private endo.
My doctor didn't test ferritin this tone I looked back at my recent historical ones and though Ay up.. but low normal here. I am 2 weeks into my spa tone and feel less fatigued.. so it's jot a hard thING to try for a month. I believe we need everything as near optimal as we can . Certainly my d3 was too low for me and I feel pants at just I'm edge and also tsh seems to lower as well . But I do take cofactors j2 and and what would seem high dose of magnesium. If I drop the mag a bit my legs start paining and giving up working ...
I think her TSH level is too high. I used to feel awful unless my reading was nearer to 1. Most GPs just accept a reading that is within the range as they don't understand the levels well enough.
