Haze,

Glucose is testing blood sugar levels, TFT is thyroid function test, Iron is testing iron levels, ANA is antinuclear antibodies used to evaluate for autoimmune disorders, immunoglobulins measures the amount of antibodies.

Post your results complete with ranges (numbers in brackets) for members to comment.

Thanks for your Profile and I see you've had two ops - half thyroid gland removed each time and you're on levothyroxine only.

How are you feeling on levothyroxine as I think someone without a thyroid gland should also have T3 added to it.

I have my good days and bad days. I'm for every fight a bugs. I've had a chest cough again sine the 27 July. (Gp sent me for a scan waiting on results). Sometimes get really run down, tied, fulling asleep on most afternoon after finishing work. Not eating much at the moment. And my monthly circle is always late or don't come on at all. So it's really up and down at the moment. Epsically bad with the cold weather.

Haze1965, I am really sorry that you've been left high and dry since your op with no solution apparently being taken about how to make you well.

With hypo, everything is 'out of sync', i.e. female problems, fatigue etc and this is a link:-

One of our Advisers and his team have had a Paper accepted and it proves that T3 added to T4. It also won the Top Prize

Another member was driven to the edge and had a Petition before the Scottish Parliament about not having the freedom to have alternative thyroid hormones if necessary particularly for those whose thyroid gland removed. She is back to good health with Natural Dessicated Thyroid Hormones

You can and will get well with the help of our members and either finding a sympathetic doctor or your own hormones.

Hi Hazel, my tests showed high ANA and I've had skin rashes for 6 years now which travel around my body. Unfortunately nothing the dr tried cleared them up so its something I live with :-(

I'd love to hear if they get yours sorted and what worked!

Hi Haze1975 , Can I ask what make of Levothyroxine you are on. When I was changed from Goldshield Eltroxin to Mercury Pharma Generic Levothyroxine in 2010 I came up in spots all over my back and arms and legs and chin. My scalp feels as though it has a coating over it. They are very sticky spots and I also cannot use most shampoos and other prescribed creams. Six years on and all other Levothyroxine in UK, plus Aliud from Germany I am not much better and the sticky spots and foul taste in mouth is still ongoing. Also my blood levels have fallen for a lot of things. It has also affected my son the same, so I know it is not something peculiar to me. Spots are very sore and feel as though I am being bitten from inside. Taste in mouth is like glue.

Levothroxine I take a 175 mg a day. I did start off with 150 mg then they put me up. I get it normally from Tesco each month. The make is called mercury pharma. But I did have a different packets at one point they where a orange box. But don't know where they came from because Tesco has changed the make to all the same kind now.xx
