OT today I am happy because...

I am getting retested this Thursday. Now I will get T3, Tpoab and thyglab, which I was supposed to get done last time, but the lab screwed up. Well it will cost me a lot of money and I was very sad and upset about it until last Friday. I got a call from my old boss and asked to work from Sunday to Thursday. Short days, but still, I get extra money.

Been getting up at 6 each day this week and worked from 7 to 11. It is tough, I am on my feet making coffee and serving breakfast to group of retired people. After the breakfast I clean up the kitchen with the owner. Again it is tough, but I like it.

What keeps me going? Simply the happiness. After work I feel so tired, but so grateful. Owner is amazing person, tourists are amazing, I am very social and out going. I enjoy chatting with them, fulfilling all their needs. They thank you, they smile and are very funny .

Would I be able to do this longer than these five days? Hell no :D My feet hurt, my stomach hurts because I am very constipated, feel having poo all the way up to my brain.

My self-esteem got a large boost when my old boss called, I felt needed. I am not mentally/emotionally stressed, I am thankful and enjoying this short period. I get mental/emotional energy from these people.

I am realistic tho, I know it is just this short period I could do this. Thursday morning I will drive to lab then back home to eat and rest until 3 pm when I start my last day. It is also last night to this group so I am helping to serve the five star dinner, reindeer stew, wine, cognac and all. After that serving I know I will crash, not badly tho as each morning i have eaten proper meal before going to work, I have had a proper snack with me, sat down every moment possible, and my boss wants us to have sort of long coffee break :D Every day after work I have eaten proper lunch, crawled into bed with a good book and spent the rest of the day doing nothing going to sleep around 10 pm. In the real world, as we all know you cant go on like that so wouldn't be able to do this for long.

But I am happy now.

Justiina,

I'm glad you feel so happy and have found a way to pace yourself to cope with the fatigue so you can work. I hope the lab gets it right this time.

Thanks Clutter! :)

This time I have made sure everything is sorted out, I called them today to make sure what tests I want so they know and they have written it down lol. They probably see me as a bit difficult person, even though I was nice and polite despite the difficulties in the past. But oh well who cares what they think about me lol

Justiina , I am so glad you have found work that you are happy doing and good luck with the Lab results.

Thanks :) I would get more hours but for now I have to settle with these limited hours. Unfortunately.

Don't know how to explain it in English but these few hours here and there makes me feel less isolated from society. That is mentally important.

Being busy and dealing with people lifts your spirits and, as you say, it's mentally important.

First of all Justina, I am glad you have had a boost to morale with your ex boss ringing you to help. Also dealing with many people lifts your spirits when you're helping

Get the Free T3 tested rather than T3. This is the reason:-

FT3 = FREE T3

T4 converts to T3 and is the only thyroid hormone actually used by the body's cells.

The approx. reference range for Free T3 is 4 to 8.3

We at Thyroid UK believe that you need to know your Free T3 level too because this will often show low if you are not converting, and high if you have blocked receptor cells. Even if you are converting, the body needs the extra T3 that a normal thyroid produces. There has been some research to show that people feel better on a mixture of Thyroxine (T4) and Triiodothyronine (T3). Effects of Thyroxine as Compared with Thyroxine plus Triiodothyronine in patients with hypothyroidism – The New England Journal of Medicine Feb.11, 99 Vol. 340. (Click here for this article).

With all of these tests, your results could be anywhere within the range and you would be classed as "normal". If you are at the very edge of the range, either at the bottom or at the top, you could be classed as "borderline". Neither you nor your doctor truly knows what your normal is, if you did not have a blood test done before you became ill. There are also particular reasons why the blood tests remain in the normal range. If you are not converting from T4 to T3 or if your cells are not taking up the T3 normally, your T4 levels and your TSH levels will still show as normal.

You are never isolated if you belong to this site Justiina , but it does make you feel good to be able to earn your own money and mixing with other people helps keep you mentally alert. Wish you well.

On the question of constipation it really is important to keep yourself clear. There are various sorts of added fibre - I use psyllium husk and ground flax seeds, and occasionally when I have been lazy or busy, some senna. But I know I feel terrible when 'bunged up'.

Oddly when I did the parasite cleanse it didn't change much, but has been improving slowly since I finished!

What did you use for the parasite cleanse please?

I realised I have not eaten bilberries for long time. Bilberry is similar than blueberry but grows in twigs. I has huge bowl yesterday and things started to move on this morning. Feel so much lighter now lol.

I so take fiber but doesn't seem to have as good effect as bilberries.

Parasite cleanse sounds interesting. I am not sure if probable chronic yersiniosis damaged my gut permanently but I am going to try herbal antibiotics which I suppose are similar/same than used to get rid of parasites. Treatment takes full year so it's a long time.

Everyone (mostly on facebook, so take that as you will) says that Humaworm is the best out there. But it is made to order and ships from Canada, and I was in a bit of a time box. So I bought Elle Belle Eliminateur.

Parasite testing is pretty useless. I have heard tell of people told they were clear then passing huge tapeworms almost immediately. So I figured I might as well just do the treatment and not bother with testing.

I didn't get a great deal of obvious passengers disembarking. But things changed. In particular my sugar cravings really got stupid - and I finally realised that I had been in denial and almost certainly have candida. And my TMJ is much improved, although not yet gone, so I think I will have to have another go when back from holiday.
