'Unfortunately we can't deliver your item because there is a fee to pay'

£13.74. On an order which came to £86.40 when converted from USD. Includes the £8 'handling fee'. I love Royal Mail. Complete bunch of sweethearts

To be fair, it's not their fault. It's VAT and Customs duty. But it does make things very expensive...

Trust me Jazzw I'm not complaining ! I worked it out at just under double the amount I've been charged ! Happy days xx

That was my first thought. Doesn't the VAT get worked out by Customs who then instruct RM to collect it? Someone's maths is wrong in your favour

Isn't this how it works...

£86.40 x 20% = £17.28

+ £8 handling charge = £25.28 charges to pay.

If so, then I agree Rapunzel, excellent value via RM. Maybe the employee doing the calculation is suffering from brain fog?

Yesterday, i was charged £63.78 for an order from the US for £149.20.

I didn't know they slap on another £20.19 if the order goes over £135.

Not happy

Did they add their loss with you onto mine???
