Does anyone know any blog/vlog sites where you can summarise your journey for others to read?
I believe I have been on a 2 year journey for my diagnosis and a lot of my now symptoms could have been avoided by a simple blood test that was never taken.
I've been suffering for over 2 years with various symptoms and would love someone to analyse my journey and connections to my final diagnosis of b12 deficiency and most recently hypothyroidism. I've had so many tests and interventions you wouldn't believe e.g MRI, balance tests, psychotherapy etc but nobody took my blood.
I now feel my journey to recent diagnosis started 2 years ago but nobody took a simple blood test. I have had to fight my GP for 2 years to see why I am feeling so bad. I've changed my job also which makes me quite sad.

Vast number of tests done, 23 years seriously unwell. Not once did a GP or any, of the many specialists I saw, check my vitamin D and consider the whole picture, or the possible connection to the gut.
I think you will find 100's, if not 1000's on here with similar stories.
When I discussed recently, with my GP, that Hashi is often/usually a leaky gut/gluten/nutrient issue and therefore all of us should have our B12, folate, Vit D and ferritin checked regularly, especially if symptoms not resolved. . He said "yes I always check these with every fatigue patient" ........Perhaps I should have pointed out, that if that were true I would have been tested too.
I think the care of Hashi patients needs to be moved from endocrinology to, or at least shared with gastroenterology /dietician.
My journey started about 50 years before my diagnosis. I wasn't even given any tests, just told I was lazy, greedy and stupid - exercise more, eat less and stop moaning - and nobody did any tests. Doctors don't really believe in underactive thyroid, and know nothing about nutrition, I'm afraid.
I use Wordpress for blogging then linked it to Twitter for exposure. I think they have a vlog option but if not the info will be on there for you to find z suitable vlog platform
