Too much NDT?

Hello, still quite new to NDT! I'm on two grains and now I think I'm on too much! I felt fairly good around the 1 and a quarter/1 and a half mark. Do my labs show I'm taking too much? How do I drop it back down properly? Skip a few doses or lower back to the 1 and a half straight away?

Did you take NDT before your blood test?

Around 4 hours before but I was advised to do everything as normal as we wanted a "clear picture". Is that bad advice?

Do you feel worse? Don't necessarily go by the bloodwork, how do you feel should be high in the equation.

Can bloods this soon before the test give false results. I think i read not to take meds 12/24 hrs prior, but I could be wrong.

Do not take levo. 24 hours before a blood test and I think leave 12 hours if on NDT or T3.

Thank you oh well I know not to take meds for next time! I do think I am on too much though - lighter periods/weight loss and I can't put any on/feeling hungry and eating more/headache behind the eyes etc. It's crept up on me but I did feel my best on 1 and a half grains.

I should say my weight is nearing on underweight now. I don't look great at the minute. I've never been big but this isn't right.

I would drop down to 1 1/2 again if you felt better then retest again in 6 weeks imho 😊

Ignore labs they are for doctors only! Go by how you FEEL not numbers. If you are happy on 1 1/2 grains then take that. Hormones are very responsive so you do not have to do anything special just reduce your dose!
