Hello. My name is Stacey aka Lightpath. I live in Portland Oregon. I have two beautiful 6 year old twin daughters and married. I have no thyroid gland because of thyroid cancer. I had surgery done last May of 2015. I am very much into holistic healing and very much want NDT to work for me. I am hoping that others like you all will help me.

Hi Stacey, welcome to the forum. How long have you been on NDT? Did you take levo beforehand, or did you go straight on to NDT?

I'm sorry you had to have your thyroid gland removed and once you are on the correct thyroid hormones for you, you should feel much better.

When you have a blood test for thyroid hormones, the appointment should be at the very earliest and don't eat before but you can drink water. This allows the TSH to be at its highest as doctors are apt to reduce according to the TSH result alone.

Always get a print-out of your results with the ranges for your own records and post if you have a query.
