Well, I'm not impressed by that, because magnesium oxide isn't good at all, you can't absorb it.

Ceruloplasmin is the copper-carrying protein in the blood. But, I can't find any information relating to its effect on iron or how it interacts with magnesium citrate. A bit more detail would have been helpful, Tracy Grady!

Still, to be on the safe side, choose a different one.

I think this is a good article on the different forms of magnesium, with good explanations of what the different types are suitable for

Beverleyb Did you try taking it just before going to bed?

Magnesium citrate makes some people a little bit sleepy too.

Lack of magnesium could cause you to be fatigued. But it doesn't necessarily follow that taking it during the day is a good idea.

I take magnesium citrate just before I go to bed. It can cause the runs in sensitive people. I take this form of magnesium specifically because I want that little bit of help to keep things moving. :D

Some people use epsom salts in the bath just before going to bed because it helps people to relax.

Another popular supplement is magnesium oil which is rubbed into the skin.

People have to choose the type of supplement that suits them best. But daytime supplementing of any form of magnesium is probably best avoided.

There is a table of symptoms of magnesium deficiency part way down this page, which may be of interest :

Thank you humanbean, I would love to have a bath, but I have bad knees ( waiting for replacement knee) so impossible to get in a bath nowadays. I personally dont need anything to help with movements as even a glass of orange juice kept me up all night!!! I think I will try the spray. Thank you for the links, Bev.

For the supposedly "definitive guide" to magnesium supplementation you may find this interesting :

It even has references. :O
