Hello, my TSH is 0.05 (0.35-3.05) and I`m having nerve pain in various places in my body, and wondered if the low TSH could be causing this?
Many thanks for any help.

Hi, I am hypothyroid and I hope that someone who has/had Graves will be able to respond re your hyperthyroidism.
Personally, and I'm not medically qualified, and wouldn't think a TSH of 0.05 would cause nerve pain. What treatment has been given to assist your Graves Disease?

Thank you Shaw, I`m sorry I didn`t put all my information in my post. I have Graves and had RAI almost 2 yrs ago. At 1st when I reached 125 mcg levo I was fine...but since have developed muscle pains that seem like nerve pain! Also constant hunger with no weight gain, sweats, sore eyes, loose bowels and am wondering if I am over medicated ? I`m happy to reduce the levo but am not sure whether the levo could cause muscle/ nerve pain? Again thank you, this site is wonderful.
One of our Admin's 'Clutter' had Graves but when they added some T3 to her dose she has felt much better since.
Sometime levo can cause side effects. I am hypo but levothyroxine caused me to be so stiff/painful I could barely walk. The addition of some T3 helped me also. I couldn't believe I could feel worse than eventually being diagnosed when my TSH was 100. I couldn't step onto a pavement the pain was intense all through the 24 hours.
I now take T3 only and am well with no clinical symptoms but that doesn't work for everyone. It is trial and error.
Thank you again shaws, I`ll begin by reducing the levo and then if that fails I`ll see if I can try T3 by finding a source, my problem is my GP wont prescribe it and after RAI I`ve been signed off from the endo. I`m presently hoping I`m simply overmedicated.
Joyliz,
TSH itself isn't much help. Is there any chance you can order a private TSH, FT4 and FT3 test from Blue Horizon or Genova? thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/testin...
I didn't have Graves, I had ThyCa and Hashimoto's. Levothyroxine caused muscle pain as soon as I started taking it but adding T3 calmed the adverse effects Levothyroxine caused.
Thank you Clutter, I`m speaking to my GP on Monday and no doubt she`ll want to reduce the levo. I`m happy to try that as I do have quite a few overactive symptoms. I`ll also ask to be retested in a few weeks to check TSH,T3 AND T4. I am wondering if the levo is causing the muscle pain but will try reducing 1st and hopefully that will do the trick. If not I`ll come back for more advice...Thank you again.
My first thought was vitamin B12 and someone, specifically helvella , has posted about it before. healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
You need to get your vitamin B12 and folate levels tested if you haven't done so and ensure the your results are optimal in the range, if not then supplement.
