endos Bristol

Has anyone either seen a Karen Bradley an endo at southmead or an Andrew Johnson both endos I have been recommended but dont know anyone who has seen them.

Is he Andrew Johnson at the Spire Hospital? I am looking for a sympathetic endo in Bristol, preferably at the Spire. I'm hoping to get blood tests for more than TSH and a prescription for something more than just levo which isn't working for me.

Can't name names but they were the two lady Endos, none of them believe in anything but Levo. Sorry can't recommend anyone in Bristol or in fact anywhere.

At the end of the day they will both have the biomedical approach which is fine if ur tests come up positive conclusively.

I worked with Andrew he is a nice guy. Karen is lovely too but her recommendation for an endo didn't work out for me and he was her mentor. So personally it's a tough call. It depends what ur looking for I think.

I requested an appointment with Dr Johnson last year at Southmead. He cancelled my appointment without letting me know ( decided he would refer me to a Heart Dr instead ). Unfortunately no one told me about this until I turned up for my appointment. I decided he probably gave preference to his private practice!

Hi. I saw dr Johnson privately at southmead when I was first diagnosed. His approach didn't work for me longer term. I am now under dr lonnen as an NHS patient at southmead, a lady dr, who works with dr Johnson and she is very understanding, listens and is extremely helpful with my Graves' disease. Alex.

Hi I didn't get on with Dr Chau at all. She tested me for coeliac the same day she ordered it and she did a fertility test on me at the wrong time in my cycle. She only tested my TSH as well.

Also looking for a sympathetic endo in the Bristol area. Any pms of others experience would be very gratefully received. I currently have no diagnosis but feel awful with most of the hypo symptoms, family history of hypo and tsh of 2.87.

I have seen Dr Johnson at the Spire and at Southmead and can honestly say he was absolutely fantastic. He has such a warm and caring approach and really cares about his patients.
