Just wondering if anyone has seen Norma Bridge of Essentia Health in Bishopston Bristol. Getting nowhere with Dr and Endo going to try complimentary health as well totry and get my daughter back on her way to recovery. thanks Val

It may be worth following these things up first. We found nutritional adjustments absolutely no use for my daughter, but is essential that intracellular magnesium, ferritin, folate, Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 are optimised.

Ah ok.We have seen an Endo Privately ( I paid rather than wait 6 weeks because she was so Ill) He as far as I'm concerned wasn't worth his 250 fee.She had a TSH of over100 and antibodies very high. he increased Levo too quickly and within a month she was hyper.He told her not to avoid eating anything and within 6 weeks she would not recognise herself! 6 months on she doesn't look / feel a lot better ,though her TSH is now 1.6 high t4 25 and t3 around 4 ,range up to 6. So all 'normal' Dr says. I'm not sure if he has looked at tests mentioned though I have asked her to ask but she is getting fobbed off.Wants to put her on the pill now ,not checked her hormones argh. shall I pay for another Endo or Dr P? She lives in Bristol,

I'm in bristol too and have seen private endo here. I didn't do well on thyroxine and am now much better on NDT. I am wondering if your daughter may need some direct T3 , either synthetic or in NDT too, as her fT3 looks low in range compared to her fT4? Xx

Thankyou for your reply,yes this what I'm thinking but t her GP won't entertain it !!! what now ?? Who should we go to ? Another Endo ? Or private Dr who will prescribe other than Levo.Its all so hard,I'm worried she will lose her long awaited job with all this blatant mis management .Val

My endo prescribed the NDT for me (reluctantly as had never prescribed it before). GP now prescribing as he has seen the drastic improvement

Would be very grateful,We have seen an Endo privately at Spire hospital in Bristol so she could go back and see him again and see if he is willing to change treatment! Did NDT make a big improvement to you health.I am on Thyroxine and on the whole keep fairly well (touch wood !! ) but my daughter isn't improving enough after 6 months treatment. thanks for PM Val
