Good endos in the UK? Dr Partha Kar?

does anyone know of any good endos in the NHS? I live in hampshire, I also have severe ME. its hard to find any drs who believe you or take your seriously when you have M.E.

Has anyone seen Dr Partha Kar or have any friends who have seen him? is he any good?

hi, I have seen Dr Kar at the QA hospital in Portsmouth, and I know a couple of other ladies on here have too, all I can tell you is it was a total waste of time for me, and the other ladies,

good luck with finding someone,

best wishes, Sue, x

Too late, sadly am seeing him now, wasn't impressed initially, but people from a pituitary group are helping me badger him for the right tests, so I will see what happens. I think diabetes is more his specialism.

My gp wont refer me to anyone else, so need to stick with him for now.

I am seeing him as well. He seemed ok at the first visit when he said he treats symptoms and not numbers but the second visit lasted all of 5 mins. He did give me a tiny dose of T3 to try with my tiny dose of levo so no doubt I will be very hypo when i see him in 3 months time.Wish I could go back sooner cos I really think I will have gone downhill by then.

I ended up seeing him and you're right, I was very disappointed!
