Well I have taken advice and thought long and hard and I want to try as feeling this awful has to change. The posts on here are very informative but if anyone has a preferred source of info/advice I would be grateful. I am in the UK so please private message me with how I get a starter/trial batch (possibly send a friend to Greece?) . Currently on 100 levothyroxine taken am as take other items at night in the hope of a nights sleep. Thanks.

Cwill,

Try adding 6.25mcg (quarter tablet) T3 to 100mcg Levothyroxine for a week to see how you tolerate T3. You can add a second 6.25mcg dose a week or two later if necessary. Stick with 12.5mcg for 6-8 weeks and have a thyroid test including FT3 before increasing further.

I am in the same place and would like to introduce t3 currently raking 125 mcg levo but don't feel right. I think I've just settled for a new normal.... I am tired and weary, overweight and achy. TSH rules and GP's not interested or very informed so will have to go it alone. On the verge of ordering T3 are 25 Mcg the lowest dose and how easy are they to cut?

From what I hear you need a pill cutter from pharmacy or amazon/ebay and its somewhat fiddly. But having been contacted by private messaging about different preparations and sources I am reading the fillers/additives and am very wary as I am gluten, soya, maize, and dairy intolerant. Have done some digging and came across Liotir liquid T3 with only alcohol. Perhaps this gets over the cutting pills and additives issue. Anyone out there still using this? I note that a lot of people appear to only get on with one preparation so perhaps the fillers are relevant to those that are not knowingly intolerant.

Have sent you a PM with a Greek supplier. Got mine for first time last week. They are 25mcg so I use a pill cutter and take 1/4 a day at moment. Also on 100mcg levothyroxine but have reduced it on alternate days to 50mcg on advice from here. Will increase slowly if ok after a week. T3 is more potent than levothyroxine, think 25mcg of t3 is equivalent to 75mcg of levothyroxine.
