Handbag99,
You should have blood tests first as the results will guide whether or not you need to supplement and, if you do, how much to supplement.
I found BetterYou Boost B12 spray very effective. B12 rose from 300+ to >700 in 8 weeks.
Thanks for this will wait till I've been on NDT for longer before having bloods done so will have iron & vitamin tests @ same time-I've seen Blue Horizon mentioned here a lot as I'm doing this without GP support guess this is where to go for tests?

Postal finger prick test at home - thyroid plus eleven is most popular as includes B12 and Vit D
Most people find they need to get the vitamin levels correct before trying NDT, to get good results.
No point testing B12 if you have already been supplementing. Takes months apparently to get out of your system. It is always recommended that Should get tests done first.
Your body can not get rid of excess Vitamin D so you really need to know by testing first what your levels are before supplementing. Too much can be toxic. Same I believe is true for iron.
Vitamin c is fine, there is no test and we excrete excess anyway.
Same applies for magnesium, but supplementing not advised apparently if you have kidney issues.
