I presume you mean that you are gradually thinning? We all lose about 100 hairs every day, but they are replaced by new ones.

In general continued hair thinning is caused by undertreatment. You should request your more recent blood test results and post them here with ranges for comment. There is more thyroid wisdom among members of this board than is shown by the vast majority of doctors, sadly.

Certain nutritional deficiencies can also cause hair loss - especially low vitamin B12, low iron and low magnesium.

Kirkie7 Deficiency of certain vitamins and minerals can cause hair loss, such as ferritin and apparently Vit D. If not already done, it would be a good idea to get Vit D, B12, ferritin and folate tested, if any are low then supplement to bring them up to optimal levels.

Hypothyroidism can cause hair loss, I'm wondering if you are optimally medicated and feel well or whether you have any residual symptoms. Do you have any test results to share?

Lack of certain vits can cause hair fall out. Have you tried a magnetic hair brush they are good and massage scalp as well.

ferritin not at the bottom of normal is needed for hair growth so if low you can take iron glyn, you could be converting testosterone in the body to DHT that causes hair loss there is a dht test, you could be under or over medicated that causes hair loss in hypo drugs, low estrogen and or progesterone can also causes hair loss, bad digestion not absorbing nutrients from food therefore taking betaine hci and enzymes to help with two biggest meals, not enough protein in diet can cause hair loss, low d3 or b12 can cause hair loss and you need to be at the top end of normal results ...so always get your labs and dont listen when a dr says your labs are normal...they know very little about hair loss and many dont even know all the causes that can turn it around......it can be many things, iron serum ferritin, b12, d3, dht, inbalance of hormones, adrenal fatigue with bad digestion- are you bloated or constipated alot, or thryoid meds not balanced........
