My lower front teeth have been aching for the past couple of months and I am wondering if anyone can advice me of a toothpaste that I can buy that has ingredients for sensitivity , and with low or no fluoride in it.
I have been using Aloe Dent (sensitive) toothpaste over several years, but it no longer seems to be effective in protecting my teeth against sensitivity.
When I mentioned the problem to my dentist he merely shrugged his shoulders and said " that's just you, there is nothing wrong with them, and suggested a stronger fluoride toothpaste.
Anyone have any advice please ?

O thanks Annie-7, I will try and find some. I have to say i haven't seen it in the shops. But then I have probably dismissed it as just being 'sensodyne' !
Do they ache after certain foods? I find I'm fine after a slice of pineapple, but after two slices my gums ache. Similar for strawberries and kiwi fruit, though oranges are fine. It could be something similar - try a food diary if the pain comes and goes, that's how I identified my problem, then I tested it and proved the cause (to myself, at least).
Thanks Achilles Pain, but no it doesn't alter after foods, in fact if sitting quietly there is not much pain, but after exercise I am much more aware of it.
Hi jaybrooke, no I don't have any discomfort in my jaw or roof of my mouth. Thanks for asking though. I am so heartened but all the many caring people on this forum.
Struggling with the many difficulties that Hashimotos gives you can be so wearying !!!!
I've been using an organic remineralising tooth powder for the last 8 months after becoming severely disheartened at the amount of crap in most commercial toothpastes. I've found that my teeth are much less sensitive nowadays and also (coincidentally and marvellously) a couple of shades lighter
That sounds interesting , could you give me some more information about the powder please, and where it can be purchased. I am certainly not very happy with the colour of my teeth either. they have discoloured quite a bit over the past couple of years !
If you wish, hunny59, you can PM me with the information?
