Ferritin is on the floor and needs to be raised to at least 80/90. You should supplement. This could be the cause of your exhaustion and palpitations. I would suggest more detailed iron screening. Ferritin is the stored iron - as a protein - in your liver. So I am suspecting the circulating iron will also be low ....

No B12 - Folate or VitD results ..... All are important.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to me

This is my second blood test and the original one was two months ago.

The original ferritin was 7. I had passed out repeatedly and feared i was having a heart problem which led me to the drs for the original blood test. D3 was good (past higher level) b12 was good (past higher level)

Circulating iron was midrange

I am worried about why my ferritin has only increased 7 points in 7 weeks. I am supplementing with an iron medication foe severe anemia and adding a lot of vitamin c (but its slow release)

My original tsh was 3 and t4 very low 0,66 so i have increased my raw thyroid from 2 tablets to 4 tablets and this has given my new results.

Do you think i should add some levothyroxine? Do you think the t4 is ok? Thank you so much again!

It can take a long time for Ferritin to rise. I am not an expert on iron so type - Iron supplements - into the box above - Search Thyroid UK - Press Enter on your keyboard and read some of the many posts that will appear.

I am not familiar with the ranges you mention for FT4 and FT3 - but your FT4 does look low in the range as does the FT3. Nothing will work enough to make you feel better if your Ferritin is that low - I have read.

Your FT3 is very, very low. So, no Wonder you Don't feel well! FT4 is not even mid-range. Your TSH isn't bad, though, so I guess you have secondary hypo. I suppose your doctor said your results were 'fine', and that's why you're self-medicating on 'raw thyroid'.

But 'raw thyroid' is just a thyroid supplement, it contains no hormones. How is that going to help you raise your T3?

However, it does contain kelp, that that is really not recommended due to it's high iodine content. Iodine should only be taken if you are iodine deficient, and then only Under the care of an experienced doctor.

I think you would be much better off taking some actual hormones. Levo to start, and if that doesn't suit you, T3 or NDT. But dump this 'raw thyroid' thing.

Hello thank you for your reply and taking the time to write to me

I was previously diagnosed with hypothyroidism due to having a high tsh , about 6 years ago

Dr prescribed levothyroxine but i did not take it

I didnt want to take any synthetic hormones

I started on raw dessicated thyroid from bovine sources which is the one i am taking currently

It is from freeze dried thyroid and adrenals

It doesnt contain any iodene

what does secondary hypo mean?

Thank you so much again!

Both the one i take and the other Thiroyd named tablet are natural dessicated thyroid from bovine

My dr did say my levels are fine but i feel awful😵
