Ave, many happy returns, margmitch, fellow Taurean. I'm six years behind you but won't 'officially' be an OAP until I'm 67, so good job !

I'm an OAP when I decide, honestly and I hope that's your position too. A pox on anyone who wants to write us off. It's just a number, no-one can stop you if you wish to carry on working and the likelihood is you'll still be a tax payer, so still be contributing to this ship of fools. I still act like a teenager behind closed doors, I'm just adult enough to know that the young don't want to see...actually I'd rather not see them eating each others' faces off in the street, but that's another story.

Enjoy your special day and hope that whatever your thyroid issues, they abate as a birthday present xx
