...my tsh has been fluctuating since February.

4 weeks ago my t3 was mega sky high.  It was at 19 and t4 was 8 tsh was 3.3

This week it's now tsh is at 8 and t4 was at 12. Doctor at Monklands hospital refused to test my t3 result because it's not needed she said.  .stupid a....

So it got real bad that I had to complain to get tested.  I got arrogant attitude from doctors who then tested my t3 and said your results are fine tested my ecg.  I ended up being hinted my symptoms were somatofom.

I also demanded a mri test and was refused.  The excuse I got was if we test you for many things it's classed as abuse.

They tested my t3 but the arrogant doctor said I'm not telling you the results because I'm not taking advice from a non doctor.  There is nothing wrong with you go home.  I complained about bowel problems.  I even saw the Chinese herbal doctor and he said your heart is struggling and your organs and digestive system are sluggish.  We will sort out your problem on Saturday.  You may need acupuncture.

I was feeling hyper thyroid like symptoms and I was feeling lots of pressure in my heart and face. Tightness on neck and back and temples. ..

I reduced my medicine from 75 mg of t4 and t3 20 mg  to 50 mg of t4 and no t3 to see if it will help.

The symptoms were fluctuating on and off from heart palpitations to tightness in neck and chest.

So some experts think I am euthyroid and some think I have adrenal issues to sort out and possible pituitary gland issues.

Other experts say I am alright just hypochondriac ...

I am off to see my doctor who is clueless but willing to learn more and is happy about me doing herbal medicine and very interested in the results and to monitor me also.

I am doing all I can to get well. My Chinese doctor is also aware of what is going on and is looking into fixing the underlying causes on Saturday.

I just need advice and guidance

He has to tell you your results - they're your results.  I'm pretty sure he's broken the Data Protection Act by refusing this.  If he has, it's a big deal.  He/the hospital could be in for a huge fine.

Get your results and walk away from Monklands's.  Stacey Robbins would call that Dr a bollard (I'd call him worse...) and bollards are to be avoided.

I probably would stop the t3 for a little while too and introduce back in very slowly (if ever) when I felt more on an even keel.

Bakerstreet,

It's an abuse to draw blood and refuse to tell you the result.  Contact Patients Advisory Liaison Service (PALS) at the hospital and ask for your results to be sent to you citing Data Protection Act which entitles patients to their results.

You were very overmedicated to have FT3 19.  Top of range is usually around 6.5-6.8.  It is very unusual to have high FT3 with high TSH.

I would rather die than use any form of Chinese medicine.  When they stop using bits of emdangered animals I might consider it.

I have found "traditional" Chinese medicine to be a scam and not really worth the mental gymnastics to justify it. I would avoid it.
