I'm 59, had Hashimoto's all life, and in last year, after abdominal surgery, my osteoarthritis has really flared up in hands and knees. Finally got doctor to test my vit.D - 23!! So supplemented now.
But still have so many hypothyroid symptoms I begged doctor to do thyroid tests - came back TSH 1.28, (so lab wouldn't do T4 or T3, unless TSH is v.high).
And thyroid peroxidase 191. Doctor just said results were completely normal, so no hypothryoid problem. Would you feel that '191' suggests my thyroid does probably needing supplementing? Many thanks for your time and experience.

No, an antibody result of 191 does not suggest a need for thyroid hormone replacement. The antibody level has nothing to do with the need for exogenous hormone, it merely tells you that you have Hashi's and probably will need it one day.
It's very wrong to just test the TSH, because that could be fine but your FT4 and FT3 still be too low. And it's those tests that telly if you need thyroid hormone replacement. Many people have them tested privately for that very reason.
The post that says you had a thyroidectomy also says that you are in the USA yet another post says you used Thriva - a UK company - for private blood tests and the sample was sent to Guildford in Surrey.
You also don't seem to know how old you are.
