I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow and, presumably, will be told he'll replace my T3 with T4. I've been trying to find out how much Armour now costs the NHS, but I can't find any up to date prices - does anyone know, please?
Many thanks.

Take a look at hscic.gov.uk/catalogue/PUB2... and click on Prescription Cost Analysis, England - 2015: Report [.pdf] . Search on 'armour'. You will see that e.g. Levothyrox Sod_Tab 100mcg has a 'NIC Per Qty' of £0.07. This means each tablet costs 7 pence. The cost for Armour_Thyroid Tab 60mg (equivalent to 100 mcg levo) is £1.20. This is the actual cost NHS England are paying.
Armour is the most expensive NDT though, you may want to look at other brands
You should ask your Pharmacist. Also I think Boots or Superdrug also might supply it (or any NDT and I think Armour is the dearest) and they may be able to help.
You might check prices for Naturethroid. A lot of folks do well on it instead of Armour. It boggles the mind why, with T 3 getting so scarce and sooo expensive, the powers that be don't consider prescribing NDT to patients. I know not everyone is a candidate for NDT but I bet a goodly number would respond positively.
