Just picked up my private prescription for Armour and notice that it did cost £515.30
But the cost was for 90 days obviously 🙄 I misheard not tabs as I stated earlier .....so in fact it cost £515.20 for 300 tabs. Which has still risen in price (a lot ) since I was first prescribed it.

Good to know that it wasn't as bad as first thought. Did you ring round to get the best price? ThyroidUK has a list of pharmacies who will fill private prescriptions, it's worth comparing prices in the future:
Definitely try the thyroid uk list next time - I’ve just paid £363 for 300 1gr tablets. Prices have definitely gone up again. I’m now going to be paying £2000 pa to stay well!
The price seems to have gone up for all brands of NDT, incl the Thai ones...one supplier recently charged £101 for 500 pills of Thyroid-S and said they had no intention of raising the price. Now, it´s gone up to £180.99. Soon, there won´t be any difference between the price of Thai NDT and prescription NDT...
I don´t know if recent raw material shortages have affected prices, but unless someone starts manufacturing a viable and cost-effective alternative to TR and Thiroyd, the sellers of Thai NDT can pretty much charge as much as they´d like...especially if their customers cannot get prescription NDT.
As far as I know, prescription NDT has always been pretty expensive, but Thyroid- S has gone from £60 for a 1000 ct bottle to three times that for a 500 ct bottle. And that only in a year or so...not normal IMO. So, is it just about raw material shortage, or about sellers taking advantage of customers´desperation after the discontinuation of TR and Thiroyd, and the fact that Thyroid-S is currently on backorder everywhere? Now, you have to pre-order it and pay in advance, without even knowing when you will receive it...
