Advice on dosing.

First Id like to say hi and thank you to those on this site it has been a great resource. I'm looking for some advice on my current protocol.

My doctor is very open minded and let's me play around a lot with dosing but he isn't very good with explaining or understanding my individual case.

I am currently on 1/2 grain ndt with some improvement. My latest labs are as follows

Tsh is 1.92   Range is .20-4.00

Ft3 is 5.4 range is 3.5-6.5

Ft4 is 12.7 range is 9-23

Before ndt my labs were

Tsh 6.34

Ft3 5

Ft4 11.1

He wants me to increase my ndt by another 1/4 grain. I tried to but felt like I was getting more hyper. Could it be that the added t3 is making me hyper because my ft3 is already pretty high.

I have done a cortisol test and I'm a little low in the range but nothing drastic. He also has me  on dhea and testosterone

I have dealt with anxiety and fatigue a long time  it has gotten better but I believe i still have room for improvement

Your doctor sounds good. 1/2 gr is a very small dose, equivalent to around 50mcg of levothyroxine. Most feel best when TSH is around 1.

Did you have your blood test at the earliest possible and fast and did leave about 24 hours between our last dose of  NDT and the test?

I took my last dose of ndt about 16 hrs prior to testing. I did eat before testing though

That's good, I just wondered as your FT3 is near the top of the range. Of course your FT4 will be lower due to the T3 in your NDT.

I would be tempted to add 1/4 gr to see how it goes, bearing in mind I'm not medically qualified.

I'd did try to increase it for a couple days and at first felt good but then I started getting a really heavy heart beat, more anxious, sweaty  palms. Kinda hyper like.

Yes, it does and not a nice experience.

Have you had your adrenals tested? You could be having issues with them which could cause your symptoms x

Ya they are a little low. Nothing drastic though. Been treating them with bcomplex, omega 3,magnesium,vitc,vitb5andb6.

Anybody else ?

You do get slight hyper symptoms with NDT increases for the first few days but they will settle if you ride it out. Increasing by 1/4 of a grain is very sensible to get your levels just right. I doubt with such a low increase you will go hyper. It sounds as if your doctor is good and monitoring you well.
