I have asked the hospital if they will take a blood test tube for me and they said Yes... That's great.. However, Blue Horizon said they do a Thyroid Eleven... So I now don't know if I should go for that or the twelve?? Any thoughts gratefully received on the tests and differences? I want to order and get them off... Thanks Jo😊

Thyroid Eleven test?
As far as I can see the only difference is that the Plus 12 includes Reverse T3. It takes 2-3 weeks whereas the Plus 11 takes about 2 days. The rT3 test is more involved (not sure if they have to send that test to a different lab) and not usually needed by most people unless there is reason to believe there may be a problem with reverse T3.
If you have already had Vit D done, you might want to go for the Plus 10 at £79. If you haven't then the Plus 11 at £99, which includes Vit D test, is better value than the Plus 10 and getting Vit D done by City Assays at £28.
You're very lucky, when I rang and asked my hospital if they would take blood for a private test, and offered to pay, they said no unless my GP requested it. Unfortunately no chance of that .
That's sad it doesn't take seconds to draw another tube does it!! I got the name of the person who told me too... I expect a row everywhere these days lol... Can blame it on my hrt and then proceed to lecture on politics 😊 I'm not as miserable as it sounds really, but it does seem that no one cares after you hit 40... Grrrr I'll go for the 11 then and have it booked next Wednesday at hospital... Thanks for the help Jo
