Hi What are the signs of too little t3 only and too much.I wonder if I am on just 45 mcg max of t3 when I get anxious and feel odd ,this a sign I need more ,because I have always reduced as pulse temp ok.I do feel hot in cheeks and hands when I reduce ,I thought this was a sign of too much .

susiebow, the only max for any thyroid hormones is what makes you feel well. That's the optimum - it doesn't matter what the dose or thyroid hormones are, particularly.

Do you take T3 in one dose? Signs of anxiety can be either too much or too little (just to complicate things), but your pulse/temp, I believe, would also have increased because if hypo both are lower than normal temps. Did you take your temp when you felt your face and hands hot?

Yes and it was 36.5.I take t3 5 am 10.00 am and 4.00 pm.

Temp, more or less normal (37 approx is normal). So you just felt hot so that's good. How long have you been taking 45mcg of T3? Where you on levo before that - what dose?

Been taking 45mcg doses for 2 -3 months ,been taking t3 only for a year and thyroxine for 15 years before that until 3 years ago I suddenly could no

t tolerate the same 150 mcg of thyroxine I had been on ,but the make was teva ,which is the only make I could tolerate ,but it withdrew from the market and I slowly became worse on other makes till went hyper and never been well since ,had to take early retirement.
