Can't understand why my t3 levels are higher when I've lowered my t3 meds. I left 12 hours for my blood draw. Don't feel too bad at the moment but I have a chest infection

Raised t3
Do you have Hashi's?
How much are you taking?
A couple of months ago you were taking 2 grains NDT and 5mcg T3 and your FT3 was 6.77
I just dropped the 5mcg of t3
When did you take your last dose of NDT before the test?
I take all my ndt at night about 12am and I took the blood at 12pm.
So the timing was right. I can't explain why your FT3 is higher on just NDT and no T3 now, but with such a low FT4 s this the right balance of T4 and T3 for you? I take Levo plus T3 and such a low FT4 would see me bedridden.
My t4 is always low, I don't know why. I think I will add back the t3 and re test in 6 weeks time.
Your FT4 is low because you're taking NDT, it tends to lower TSH and FT4 due to the T3 in it. NDT has a T4 to T3 ratio of approx 4:1 which suits some people. I used to take a ratio of 6:1 but have just tweaked my dose and it's nearer 8:1 at the moment, not sure yet if I will stick to this or will need to tweak again.
How long ago did you lower your T3?
So I’m assuming you lowered it because you felt overmedicated? Perhaps you are converting better atm? So if you were taking too much T3 the T4 was being converted to RT3? Now that you’ve lowered the T3, the T4 is converting again? So you’re utilising the T3 and T4 your taking. If you feel ok then I’d wait another 6wks on the same dose to see how things pan out. Test again and tweak if you need to.
