I have been on Thyroid s for a year now and still not well. At present on 1.75 grains for the last 7 weeks. When I started this product last Feb on 1/2 grain, I felt fab. I was told this was because there was still T4 in my system. Since that time I have goneup to 3 grains back down to 1.5 and now 1.75 still not well. Question is, can I take Levo with Thryroid s.?
Could I take my old dose of 150 Levo with 1/2 grain thyroid s. And should I ween mysel off Thryroid s gradually or can I just swap the next day?
Or can I take the dose Thyroid s I'm on at present and reintroduce T4 gradually say starting at 25mcg. Again, should I do this say the next day or should I do it gradually.
I really have tried this for over a year and I feel I need to move on and get well. I don't know whether it's the binders in thyroid s making me unwell or not, but any advice would be great.
Anyone who has gone down this road I would love to hear from you.
Regards

Hi, i take Thiroyd from thailand or naturethroid from america.
The effects i got from thyroid S was simply that i went hypothyroid, so, sleepy dry skin, etc etc.... It took a few months beftore i realised i felt rubbish....
I wouldnt mix synthetics with ndt, here is a link to an article explaining the difference and it also explains why thyroidS is different to thiroyd...... thyroid-s.com/natural-desic...
Thanks for that G . There are quite few options to choose from. Obviously you can mix both and still feel well, that's what I call keeping your options open. Is it to do with supply that you take both? Thanks
Hi. I am due for another test in a week or so, now on 1.75 grains and I don't feel any different to what I felt 5 weeks ago on 1.5 grains. Results are all very well but if I am still hypothyoid with all the horrible side-effects I need to change something. Is it possible to take Thyroid s with Levo. Either more Levo with small dose of Thyroid S or with say 1.75 grains of Thyroid with say 25 mcg of Levo?. Or if not I shall have to change my meds. I don't expect any medical advice just want to know if anyone else is doing this or know someone who is. Thanks
Thanks appreciate your reply. Also would like to know how easy it is to get Armour as I know there have been a few supply problems. Could you pm me as to where I can get it from. And just to pick your brain a little more. When/
if I decide to switch can I do a direct swap from Thyroid S to Armour on the same dose???? Thanks again for your time.
Princess20, it's fine to switch from one NDT to another brand. I'm not aware of availability issues with Armour but it is more expensive than other brands and you might want to consider NatureThroid or WP as an alternative.
