Your TSH is obviously too high, what dose of thyroxine are you taking?
50 mg for the past 3 years, i did see on the test above range but on the top said no further action and was told by the receptionist you test are fine don't need to do anything
50mcg is a starter dose but you really need an FT3 test which is the active hormone. Are you able to have that done privately? Alternatively go back to your GP and say that your TSH is above the reference range, list your symptoms and insist on an increase.

And here is your post and replies from one year ago
Did you have all the tests suggested / What were the results ?
Your TSH after starting on thyroid hormone should be 1.0. Yours is 5.69. How can they call that normal. And for three years? Terrible. Most people are taking at least 100 mcg. or more of levothyroxine. You must do something. Either change GPs or begin to purchase your own hormone and possibly change over to NDT. You CAN feel much better than you do right now.
Thanks everyone . I will put a appointment and hope he listen to me as I can't go privately
I will ask if they will put me on NDT
they did give me HRT but I came off them as it wasn't making me feel any better.
Thanks Jan
Misty, it helps if you understand how the endocrine system works. If you care to watch, this man explains the importance of the adrenals as well.
