Does anyone know how much a blood test that includes tsh, t4, t3 and reverse t3 cost from geneva. They are a very frustrating company and only quote their prices to clinicians but I know they can be a lot cheaper than blue horizens.

You want the Thyroid Plus test

gdx.net/uk/product/140

which contains the following tests :

ANALYTE LIST:

Anti-TG

Anti-TPO

FT3

FT4

Reverse T3

TSH

TT4

And if you check this page

gdx.net/uk/kitordering

you'll see it costs £148, but you have to add the cost of getting blood drawn.

For comparison, the BH finger prick tests, the Thyroid Plus 12

bluehorizonmedicals.co.uk/T...

includes all the above plus :

Ferritin

Folate

Vitamin B12

C Reactive Protein

Vitamin D (25 OH)

and it costs £159, with no need to get blood drawn because you prick your own fingers.

Hi Human bean and Mandyjane,

Sadly our plus 12 is vacutainer only, meaning you'll need to fork out for a phlebotomist after all.

Don't forget to use your TUK10 Code for a £10 discount, this will take the kit price down to £149.

Best wishes,

Paul Harris

Thanks Paul,

Sorry about getting it wrong. I knew it wasn't finger-prick when it first came out, but I promptly forgot it!

It has something to do with measuring inflammation in the body. It isn't specific. It won't tell you if any inflammation is in your lungs or your gut for example. You have to track down the inflammation by other means, somehow.

Err..... Pass!

Sorry, I don't know. It's a very interesting idea though, and I would like to know the answer.

Hi..I have recently used Genova for a thyroid urine test and a cortisol test. I and found them to be excellent. Quick response to my emails..fast despatch of the tests which were well explained. And a rasonably good turn around time on the results.Found their prices on the internet.

Hope this helps.

It looks like I can get all the tests done from bluehorizen apart from the RT3 for £89.

Which I think I will go with.
