Hahaha! The moment doctor tells me I cannot be tired if I manage to xcountry ski 3 kilometers in a week. Exactly how I felt. I remember thinking which one us is the idiot. For a second thinking it's me but realised fast that oh come on if people at age 70 do 50-100 kilometres a week , a woman 36 should do better than 3

They have no idea how our bodies feel without sufficient thyroid hormones. No wonder we sometimes wish they could have a 'trial of hypo for a few months'.

I actually told the doctor that if he was in my shoes for a day he would give up. He did not look super happy. .

reminds me of the nurse who after listening to me complain that the GP wasn't listening to me said, "well you know the difference between God and GP don't you?" I replied that I didn't, she said, "God doesn't think he's a GP,"

.........the more junior GP at my practice has told me this week that I know more about hypothyroidism than she does...........and I don't really know that much!

Yes, that's true.

I just feel sorry for people who cannot read and understand medical descriptions/information and those that are unable to access sites such as this; I'm scared for them.
